The launch was successful!

We gathered together for four days to celebrate the launch of our Caribbean Ministry Initiative in San Jose, Costa Rica. For four years we have researched, prayed and worked to build a solid base for the work shared by the Canadian and US Navigators.

The fruit of our joint labour?
• Mark and Patty Bogart are on-site in Jamaica
• Joe and Joy Maschhoff have been appointed to serve as Caribbean Director and are now in language school on Costa Rica
• Short-term teams are going to Jamaica and Trinidad/Tobago
• The search is on for two more Country Leaders! We are open for business!
• Helpful reporting on Cuba and the possibilities there.

Laura and I have been tasked to look at what might be done in Cuba! We will continue to focus on research and prayer, asking God to lead us!

This trip, in addition to the great work, was particularly meaningful to Laura and I as we arrived two days early to explore our old neighbourhood in Desaparados (abandoned!) We could not identify our old house because the land it sat on had been modified into two-storey apartments! But, we found Luis at the tire repair store! He recognized us and directed us to Lucia, who worked her magic in connecting us with everyone else!

What a thrill to rejoice with God’s goodness as we reminisced and laughed about our classic language learning mistakes. We saw the grace of God being poured out between us as it had been 28 years ago, refreshing us now just as it did then!

We are trusting God for generations of labourers, living and discipling among all people for the healing of the nations! Chile! Costa Rica! Jamaica! Canada!

Please pray for us all. This is too big for any one person and the King deserves our best effort!
